Ottawa Escapes has started booking ‘The Stewardsof Time’. It’s advertising itself as the largest escape experience in the world!
The Stewards of Time foretold a prophecy of time slowing, the rotation of the Earth dropping to a crawl. They knew they would not be around to save the world so created a ritual to activate a Time Tempest, a storm of epic proportions to shock time back to normal. They filled their castle with coded messages for the ritual and used magic so the messages would perpetually manifest themselves over time. Though that castle is long gone, a team of researchers was able to discover that Funhaven now stands in its spot, and the clues are appearing.
But when the research team began to activate the Time Tempest, they were tragically killed in the early stages of the activation ritual. Despite all their work, their demise has left the world in peril, with the threat of slowing time growing ever closer.
In 1 hour, time will shudder to a stop unless your team intervenes. Will your team carry on the work of the intrepid researchers and find the answers needed to release the Time Tempest and save the world? Will you succeed in racing the clock to keep time moving?
Stewards of Time is the largest escape experience in the world! Each team of 5-10 people has 1 hour to unravel the truth and release the Time Tempest before the world slows to a crawl. The experience will have you discovering coded messages across the Funhaven facility and solving puzzles as a team. The Stewards of Time escape experience can accommodate many teams at the same time with each team playing individually.
Stewards of Time will be premiering Tuesday, December 8th.
Escape Games has now shut down Counter-ops! It’s going to be replaced with the ‘Ivory Tower’.
Escape Room Niagara Falls has replaced The Castle with a seasonal “A Very Merry Escape!”
NextRelic has finally resurfaced. The page isn’t showing anything now, but when I was linked to it, it had the skeleton of a website for an archery tag facility. Unless they’re doing something like Battle Archery and Survive the Night, it seems like NextRelic is out of the escape room business!
Real Escape Game is shutting down Escape From the Mysterious Room: Volume 1 on December 20th. They’re replacing it with Volume 3. Google says that this might be “The Crazy Last Will Dr. MAD”, but that seems like it might be one of their puzzle hunt events. My guess is that this is “Escape From the Puzzle Room”
Great Escape is shutting down The Museum and replacing it with a yet-to-be announced theme.
Lockquest‘s inaugural run ends this December!
The Crux is opening in Hamilton as of November the 13th. Their first room will be the Voodoo room, which is a 50 minute gamefor 3-6 Players.
The [?] Adventure is going to be the newest facility coming to Ontario. They will be Hamilton’s first escape room and are arriving December 2015.
