Casa Loma Escape Series has announced a second ‘room’! A good followup to the hype of their Escape from the Tower series. It’s called King of the Bootleggers. Maybe it takes place in the ‘secret’ tunnels between the basement and the stables?
In 1920s Toronto prohibition is at its peak and at the top of the bootlegging empire sits notorious gangster Rocco Perri, but in the sordid world of swingin’ speakeasies, everyone’s out for a piece of the pie. You receive a sealed envelope inviting you to a secret meeting at Rocco’s infamous bar hidden inside Casa Loma. Bessi Perri has set her sights on her husband’s moonshine throne and is assembling a gang to take him down and wants you in on the action. This is your chance to join the big leagues and overthrow the King of the Bootleggers. The only trick is doing it before Rocco discovers the betrayal and sends in his goons to clean things up once and for all.
Escape Maze in Peterborough is closing down their Moonshine Shack and replacing it with Backroom Poker on September 14th. Miss Kitty’s Parlour will also be replaced by Allin’s Orchard on the 14th.
Improbable Escapes in Kingston has opened their second room, The Office.
Your boss has called you into his office, tells you to sit tight, and locks the door behind you. You’ve been set up as a patsy for a secret gambling ring. The police are on their way. Will you be able to prove your innocence and escape?

The tentative opening for Lockdown Ottawa is September 15th.
SCRAP/REG tickets for Escape from the Cursed Forest tickets have begun selling. To clarify, the format of this game seems like it will be like Escape From the Bank (which was more or less a sit-down-styled puzzle hunt) rather than their two previous escape rooms, Vol 1: Escape from the Mysterious Room or Vol 2: Escape from the Time Travel Lab.
EscapeZone has made no announcement at all about anything, but I was informed that the entry for the Biohazard room has been replaced with a COMING SOON picture.
The other reviewers from Escape Room Addicts, Escape Games Review, and Escape Games Toronto have banded together to form Canadian Capers. On September 19th, they will be hosting ‘Night at the Speakeasy’ – “A One-Day-Only Theatrical Live Escape Experience”. You can find out more information HERE
