DASH is cancelled for Toronto (and everywhere else in Canada)!

Escape Room Niagara Falls has announced that they are running a puzzle hunt during the May 30th – 31st. Your mission is to locate the agents and clues hidden around the Springlicious festival on Queen Street. Each puzzle leads to new options, informants and locations. You can book on their site, or find more information on their Facebook page HERE. Use coupon code OQEARLYBIRD for $5 off before April 6th.

Roundabout Canada is going to open mid-April in downtown Toronto. I wrote about them several months ago where they showed interesting pictures of their sets which piqued my interest. They didn’t open back then, and I didn’t really have any idea of what was going on. They recently resurfaced with some new pictures of their sets which look amazing. They also have a contest for free tickets HERE.

Origin Room Break has opened up their newest room Casebook. It was announced that the room is 90 minutes long, and that it would cost $30/person as a base price. The 90 minute long duration was explained that the game was more difficult than normal. However, if you escape within 30 minutes, the game is free. This is puzzling to me. The game is hard enough that you want to extend the time limit by 50%… but the free game comes if you beat it in 30 minutes? A little bit of a mixed message.

Escape Maze in Peterborough appears to have finished renovations and have listed two new rooms: Miss Kitty’s Parlour and the Moonshine Shack.

Ongoing News

Escape in London are revamping their Alice in Wonderland themed room, which should be up by April 1st.

Real Escape Game TO previously announced that they were bringing Escape From the Bank to Toronto! The games will be held at the Black Box Theatre from Thursday April 23rd to Sunday April 26th. Most of those slots sold out within 24 hours, and Real Escape Game TO has announced a new weekend of slots from April 30th to May 3rd. The format is different from their existing two rooms. The event is a one-time puzzle hunt, where groups will essentially be simultaneously playing side-by-side. It will probably be much more pencil-and-paper than escape-the-room. The site lists ideal group size to be 6, and that you can sign up as a single person and that you will be grouped with others. More information is available HERE.

Xspace has that they are replacing their ‘Plan X’ theme in April.

Escape Games is continuing their contest to give away three hand-painted yurei head casts. Link to details here: HERE
