De Code Adventures is celebrating their 1-year anniversary on March 27th to 28th. Unspecified mini-games can be played for prizes.
Puzzled Pint was a big success! I think there were at least 8 groups there. The standings aren’t up, but the puzzles for this month (along with the answers should you want them) have been posted HERE. I’ll do a more in depth write-up about the event after the standings are posted. Big thanks to everyone who showed up! You can follow the Toronto chapter of Puzzled Pint on Twitter or on Facebook
Real Escape Game TO previously announced that they were bringing Escape From the Bank to Toronto! The games will be held at the Black Box Theatre from Thursday April 23rd to Sunday April 26th. Most of those slots sold out within 24 hours, and Real Escape Game TO has announced a new weekend of slots from April 30th to May 3rd. The format is different from their existing two rooms. The event is a one-time puzzle hunt, where groups will essentially be simultaneously playing side-by-side. It will probably be much more pencil-and-paper than escape-the-room. The site lists ideal group size to be 6, and that you can sign up as a single person and that you will be grouped with others. More information is available HERE.
On a related tangent, if a couple is signed up for April 25th at 6 pm and would want to join my team, we would love to have you. Beginners are welcome. My friends and I actually have 10 people, and instead of breaking up into 5 and 5 with a stranger on each team, we thought it might be preferable to have a group of 6 and 4, with a couple.
Escape in London are revamping their Alice in Wonderland themed room, which should be up by April 1st.
I changed the site theme to Sela. I think it looks nice. I’ve also rearranged things so that the summary is placed before the Continue Reading->, with the facility information after. I’ve added a ‘decor’ description to paint a better picture of the rooms, and converted the Would I come back section to an Overall summary. I put it into a table as well to make it a little more neat. The Links page is still down while I work on it. I was asked about tags, and no, I’m not planning on adding them.
Locked-In Room Escape and Mystery Room both independently announced that they have some sort of partnership with eOne to give away movie swag to players. Information for the respective events at each facility can be found HERE and HERE
Escape Maze in Peterborough should be finished renovations and will be reopened on March 28th.
Xspace has that they are replacing their ‘Plan X’ theme in April.
Escape Room Niagara Falls has announced that ‘The Bunker’ and ‘The Castle’ has no additional times, as they will be undergoing renovations for the next week (approximately until the end of February).
Omescape is running a contest where a group of players are given the opportunity to play the final two rooms, ‘The Penitentiary’, and the ‘Mysterious Study, before they are released to the public. Link HERE
