News/Deals 2015-01-13

*EDIT: Added a Links page up top next to the Recommendations. Other Toronto/Ontario escape room reviewers are listed there as well.

Escape Games ( is now listing their schedule online ( Their Missions page also reveals that they have changed their plans by replacing the prospective ‘Ward 12’ and ‘The Magician’s Box’ with ‘The Unknown’ and ‘Steampunk Drilling Machine’. The latter’s description is “You and your crew jump onboard a 3-storey steampunk drilling machine to dig a hole. Work together, win prizes, unlock new ships! How low can you go?” It also states that membership is required for ranked play, so I guess membership is in the works.
‘The Unknown’ seems more interesting to me, with the description “You may know nothing about this mission. You either do it or have it remain a mystery” There’s also an extreme content 18+ rating listed, along with a warning for those with a heart condition (!)

Omescape ( )is opening their third room some time within the next two weeks.

Decipher Rooms ( announced that they would be “finding a new home” on February 23rd.

Exodus Escape Rooms ( opened last week on January 8th in London. I have added them to the list.

I have updated the list as well to include the name of particular rooms with their room capacities.

    1. Just a quick FYI…for the Room Escape Adventures deal from Rush49….it’s actually false advertising. The site is a US site and the price is in USD so even though they are claiming the discount is 32%, it’s not actually. Original Cost: $28.00CAD (as per Room Escape Adventure’s website) vs Deal Cost: $19USD (which is approximately $25.00CAD if you pay by Paypal.) I just wanted to let you know since it doesn’t say USD anywhere on the site really and I only noticed because I was trying to pay by paypal. I also confirmed the price is USD with the website.
